last ride

iron ferris wheel buried in

desert

twisted contorted metal
rusting

one seat creaking, rivets
twisted

underneath a figure
breathless

crawls out sandy, moving
like

clay

unsmooth pebbled clothed,
waits

for rain

tears dry fast…

looks for a prairie, like
deep

trees seeking
moisture

a cold night comes.

  1. Oh my these images remind me of aging in a world that’s left for wreckages – profound & full of relating to the moment written about!
