I began writing poetry in 2003, in Salisbury MD. I started lance sheridan® in January of 2013, and have continued writing through moves to Nashville TN and then to Springfield IL. I’ve had 90 poems published in numerous journals including Morality Park (Featured Poet), Spillwords, Napalm and Novocain, Jellyfish Whispers, and The BeZine (Guest Contributor). I was interviewed twice- Salisbury University and Writing in the Modern Age.

Poems translated into Portuguese, Spanish and Italian.

Poem used by Professor Alan Britt’s English/Creative Writing Class at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

Poems appeared in Gioielli Rubati Poetry Column.

Reviews of my work:

Your use of language feels less like mastery and more like partnership…as though sometimes your words might participate–seduce and scorn, dovetail and derail each other. It’s a measured dance without set steps: Intriguing. Madeleine Marzio, author.

Lance’s poems always inspire more dreams in more people than he can even know. Karima Hoisan, published poet.

I’ve followed Lance for several years now, and he has improved his works to excellence. They’re ripe with action and a beautiful way to live in a world unknown to many. Barbara Kasey Smith, published poet.

Lance creates a canvas painted with care and precision that allows the reader to complete the picture, or draw their own conclusions. We, in effect, interpret his genius. We bask in the light of his gift. Anna Waldherr, writer.

A pinnacle poet. Reading, I find myself, nose pressed between pages of Yeats, Longfellow, Browning, Whitman. His poetry, I see as flowing streams, hear as melody… the words like prayers tuck themselves within all the cracks within my heart. Laura M. Bailey, writer.

Hello Lance, this is a beautiful presentation of your blog as you let your readers speak about your exquisite work. As for me, a creative person writing humble poetry attempts, a few short stories, book reviews plus a few dances combined with poems, I am so flattered by the praise you have given me. Thank you again.

Lance, I just wanted to thank you for seeing and noticing my Three Dreams Trilogy. Those pieces had cost me greatly to write in currency of heart and self-examination, and are obviously intensely personal. The inherent exhibitionist of the writer in me longs for them to be seen and appreciated, so few have even visited them. I also wish for more people to hear about Cica Ghost. It has meant a great deal for me to see your kind notice of these artifacts. Thank you friend. Lona
